my initial thoughts on the clip from Doc Martin was that he was stressed from the problems he was having with the house and the company he was in. The scene at the start of the clip had very dark lighting. This might have been to create a certain atmosphere. From the clip i would think that the show is for middle age and older people because of where the clip was set, in a small village. i could also see that Doc Martin has only just moved to this area because he had not set up his work place.
